Having penis envy.............................??

Being a female,

1. you suffer higher risk of additional complicated disorders due to your gender-specific organs and hormones.

- certain health insurance premiums cost much higher for females than for males bcos of their higher risks!
- this is also in the perspective of Chinese physicians.

2. you bear the pains and discomfort and inconvenience of your menses that come every month without fail.

- call it lucky if there is a miss of its occurence in some months but to general practitioners, it is considered irregularity and should be taken note of.]
- even heard from a certain religion that this is actually a punishment or some sort of a curse that is cast on females....Ridiculous!

3. you bear high parental investment of child making, not forgetting post-natal syndromes and the amount of time to breastfeed your baby and the long wait to hopefully recover back your original figure, only if you are lucky that is.

[not everyone can be like wong lilin or zoe tay, mind you.]

4. being objectified as symbols of sex, you bear the life-long threat of being sexually assaulted by lusty young/old male strangers anywhere possible, regardless of your age, may be when you go out alone at nite, solo backpacking etc. And don't forget, if you are unlucky,...(see point 3). And how convenient/unfair can it be, for the sperm donors walk free.

- i've heard it's very much harder for females to rape males if you know wat I mean? thats y since evolution, females are mostly victims rather than perpetrators.
- domestic helpers also are potential victims if met with beastly employers
- bet you read about molestation cases in crowded areas in festive seasons by both local and foreign male workers
- no wonder my mother say the only solution is to have all guilty males sterilized/castrated!
- see that emperors in the ancient dynasty already saw this sexual threat of males, if not y keepers are made eunuchs!

5.young girls in some countries are prone to child prostitution and suffer the eventual risk of getting Aids and die.

-look at the abundance of Singaporean uncles flocking to Batam for cheap sex and thrill.

6. women age faster on physical appearance and face greater pressure for the need to maintain their looks, skin, hair and figure in the society and media. Expenses self-absorbed.

An irony
As females strive to gain equal status, respect and power as males in the society, they are actually holding additional baggages to their already loaded chores. This is evident from realistic examples of the difficulty faced by many women who have to work and cook and wash and do household chores and childcare when they finally get home to supposedly 'rest'. Though husbands now help out more nowadays, women generally are still seen and expected to be the gender more suited for housemaking despite them having to face additional responsibilities of having a career just like the men as well. Isnt this double-standard thinking?

Call me biased towards my own gender, wateva... of cos I am more inclined to write on mine!

Probably you will say that in general females already gain alot from the social privileges of getting 'ladies first' and being walked home and protected by their guyfriends and stuff.
Yah right....if not for the extra liabilities faced by females as stated above!

Don't tell me abt army training that guys need to undergo and girls don't have. For goodness sake guys, that is for your own overall benefit! Wats more, you get paid to be trained and lets not forget the important techinical skills and brotherhood fun you must have gained along the way. Furthermore, job applicants who have served NS for a more politically correct term to speak of, enjoy higher gross salary in various job postings. What's more is there to be said?

With the above, it is thus no surprise to me when I heard from girls that they would want to give birth to boys when they are mothers! hah.

Clarification
Penis Envy - a term generated by a psychologist to theorize that young girls have this fantasy of having a penis like the boys.

I can't agree more with Karen Horney who rebuke that girls dun envy the penis per se but rather they see it as a symbol of social status that males generally enjoy in the society at that time!!



P/S: btw pls don't get the idea that I hate myself cos of my own gender. ^-^
