The popular or rather boring qn nowadays is 'u studying honours?', 'find job alreadi?', 'what job u going into' etc. Well I can't blame relatives or frens for asking that lar since its the time to ask isn't it?
I hope to work in the govt sector due to the prestige, training, benefits and five day work week. I hope to work in the social service that is related to my course of study. As such, I am looking out for jobs that are within such criteria. Have been applying for positions like trainer/therapist, social worker and management-level positions like HASE or analysis officer. If all fails, time to seek out for oppts in other fields...
For the first few years, my objective is to just gain as much experience and learning oppt. God knows where I will land up in the end. Ppl always say that you could just end up doing something that you neva imagine yourself to do so keep your options open. Just like my sis, she end up working in ERA in addition to her modelling assignments and enjoyin life at the same time. She has just came back from her long New Zealand trekking trip.
I anticipate my proper working life in the future to be well balanced with after-work activities like new courses to upgrade myself or learning a new hobby like latin dance or samba or signing up for a fitness club membership By then, I should be economically independent to support such leisure activities on my own without asking money from my parents. Subsequently, I hope to make some financial investments that can make my money work on its own. Though I still very much clueless in this aspect, I hope to pick it up along the way with the help of frens and my mother who is getting herself prepared to be my financial advisor based on her accumulated experience in such. We'll see...
After which, I shall consider whether there is a need to go for overseas study or to just stay in Singapore. That will be a later stage when hopefully I should have a better idea of where I am heading or just staying put as it is... as who knows I may just get married early and need only to worry about how to win majong and where to go for high tea! hahaa
I seem to be making some new year resolutions here....well...these are basically what is in my mind right now. Still, I am willing to welcome possibilities that may not be within my expectations. What will be, will be... Fingers crossed.
