The Cave

Generally my colleagues are very nice ppl and a jovial bunch of ppl. But most of them sit very far from me as a bunch of us were seated separately in a conference room due to lack of space. So we called ourselves the 'cave men".

I especially like my neighobouring colleagues. hehe. It really points to the psychology theory: Proximity and familiarity breeds liking! haha!

It is amazing how time can tranform relationship among ppl.

From my first impression of 'CC' whom I at first label as "someone whom I cannot click because he is like so passive and quiet and refuse to initiate conversation with me" to the current him who will never let go of any chance to bicker with me just about anything under the sun. Cant believe how we can transform to become at "loggerheads with each other" just with the twist of time. To the extent there was a period when I am just so angry talking to him as he always talks crap and never listen to me seriously. And having to eat lunch with him (and a few others) everyday does not help much. Luckily that period is over. I now know what and how to say things to prevent him from getting on my nerves. haha. But quite fun now lah. I know his style liao so kinda get used to it.

Then there is R who is my "first on the list soulmate". She sits behind me and is the first person whom I literally turn to scold and whine about my clients. Oh pls, I also have to bear all her nonsense and the very unpleasant names she likes to give to those clients ok. haha. So its fair and square! And whenever each of us is under high stress, she will say "Breathe...Breathe..." Sometimes she and I will also combine force to verbally attack CC. All those crap and nonsese la. haha. R and myself can also laugh and get amused over small little things. Guess its our way to relieve some stress at work.

Then there is this "super frenly" colleague who can mix and talk to any kind of people in the world and will always drop by my cluster to chat with us whenever he comes to take his coffee. It gets so frequent that he also starts to get on my nerves during a period of time and I will sometimes pretend not to see him walk near just so not to entertain him. hahaha. I am so mean! He will just come and stand beside you and exclaim a big hello with his wide and sillyish grin and expects you to reciprocate and chat with him. Well, I am not always in the mood to entertain him esp when I am in the middle of something ok. I think he now should be smart enough to detect my mood and behave accordingly. hahaa. But seriously speaking, he is really funny and a very interesting person larh. He has got very loud and thunderous laughter I tell you. Sometimes I wonder what is so funny about what we or others have said that can make him laugh so easily and loudly. Abit crazy. I guess its his way to relieve stress bah. haahh.

Haiz think there will come the day when we need to move and change seats due to some renovation work that is going to take place. Sianz lor. I will miss them one .. Sometimes when they on leave or on mc, I already feel abit lonely. If change to sit with the "wrong frequency kind of ppl", I will be very "sad" one.

As for the rest of the colleagues, there is too many of them. I dont really make extra effort to go and reach out to them. Sometimes got chance will joke around that's all. Well, I am not that kind who will go the extra mile to want to know everyone and to make everyone come to know me. If there is chance for chemistry to spark, it will spark on its own.
